AUTUMN IN BEIJING

This was my first Autumn in Beijing and I have to say, after the oppressive summer heat with an already over populated city filled to capacity with the Summer Olympic crowd, it was a nice reprieve to feel the city cool down, and quiet down. Most called it the Post Olympic Depression, I called it: The Hangover. It was a time to reflect, buckle down, and enjoy all the new venues and restaurants started purely for the Olympic rush – and I wasn’t complaining.

Happy Birthday To Me

Happy Birthday To Me

My fashionistas this time around make me smile- They are my friends, good friends, and doing a shoot with them is like having a party. We move studios and listen to Black Eyed Peas for the next year (no joke, just this cd- I always forget to bring others and this is the only one worth listening to in the studio, unless I have a subject that is particularly into bad opera) but this was the first time, and it was fun.

Adrianne- So photogenic you are- and we did the first colored background for Fashionista- still one of my favorite spreads- turned out gorgeous

VIMBAYI!- I met her at a party and knew I had to feature her- That face! That body! That hair! A beautiful addition to the Beijing scene and my life- this was the start of our fabulous friendship, still one of the strongest

Matt- The best sport ever… bare chested, eyeliner.. nuff said- you rock Matt

Nicole Xu- Guurlll- you are so cool- a fellow makeup artist and gorgeous friend

Kristen Lum- I think Kristen is still hands down the most excited subject when I asked her to be a Fashionista. Her enthusiasm and positivity inspires me to this day! It was an honor to feature such a bright spirit in such a smokin body :)
